Unleashed drilling
« on: July 14, 2004, 08:24:51 PM »
I just ordered an Phenom Unleashed with a 3-4" pin and would like suggestions on a drilling pattern for my style.

Me:
15-16mph
low medium revs
60-75 degrees of axis rotation
PAP over 5 1/2" up 1"
Axis tilt 9°-10°

Preferred line is 13-15 arrow 6-10 at break point

Pin above fingers works best for me the only time I ever tried pin under I had problems with rolling over the thumb hole, flaring over the middle finger is not a problem since I track about 2" inches from fingers but only 1/2" from thumb.

Condition:
load - Med to medium/heavy
length - 42'

for backend play, I have mine drilled pin 3" above midline, 4" from pap and the the Mb at 4.25 from pap. box finish. this gives me control on the backend with a nice hard turn. I like this n med-heavy longer patterns. I have had some great games on PBA Pattern B with this ball.

added tilt
I used my PAP to find it using an angle finder program.

What is the purpose of the balance hole being pitched and what determines the direction to pitch it?
By the way it isn't a lot of work finding tilt the way I did only a few seconds on the computer enough time to draw out 2 line on a grid.

For starters I am not a kid I am 33 and have an IQ of 147 so don't assume that just because I am not a drilling guru that I am a kid and/or dumb.

Secondly my method is accurate also.

I used your method for comparison and it comes out the same.
Track diameter 11"
13.5-11=1.5*6.67=10.005
