First thing you need to do is determine why the ball is an X-out. Be sure to have your driller confirm the cg location. Assuming it's an X-out for cosmetic reasons, I'd suggest a pin to PAP of 4 - 5 1/2" with the cg near the grip center. After you've thrown it on a variety of conditions, if you want a later break with sharper back end, sand it to 1500 grit, then polish to 2000 grit. If you want it to break earlier and be more arcy, take it down to 600 - 800 grit unpolished. Good luck. -- JohnP
