Hi Guys, my shop is going to get the new Ferrari Drill jig as a replacement for the secondary generation ball jig that came with our kit and I was wondering how everyone likes it and any pros or cons that you see. I am extremely interested in drilling ovals with it primarily. My friend just went to ovals and I'm having a hard time reproducing them on our Vacujig..I can understand the movements but I think since our press is old the accuracy is shot and this will make it so much easier. My question for you guys is when you drill ovals on the jig do you prefer to drill your pilot hole, then divide your oval width by 2 and make 2 more cuts, 1 left and 1 right or do you cut the oval using two cuts? Just wondering. Also I know it is primarily used to drill out IT slugs but I understand you can drill regular slugs in it as well..is this still the case because this is the main reason I want this for my friend.
Thanx guys.

Hi Jarrett
As one of the designers of the Jig, it will only take vise slugs. Also, when making cuts it is recommended going just the direction of the hand the bowler is. Thus if a bowler is right handed oval to the right and if left handed oval to the left. You can drill just slugs. This is what the original jig was designed for 20 years ago.
Jarrett, if you have any questions please call me.
