Sorry guys for the (nevermind!) I had to upload pics to WTDR!

Bowling kid-> you really like to bust my rump--> J/K !!!!

I droped off my new Columbia Drive to my driller and asked him to drill it for max flare... Well I get back over there and he has this(look at pic)... I got me a lane to try it out. Wasn't happy with the way it looked already... Threw it--> it might of covered 5 boards--->6-pin. My hands were on my hips.. tried different speed, move left, move right.. Not very impressed at all... None off my other equipment is layed out like this. What to do?

The ball doesn't move at all. just skids down the lane and never breaks

How can it move...the MB is pretty far away from your PAP, the Pin (as T-God pointed out) will make the ball roll end over end and the most important thing:

It's got to have a large amount of negative weight.  It would have to be about 1.5 to 2.0 oz's considering the CG shift and the weight hole...*UNLESS* it was a miss-marked CG.  Take it back to the driller and first ask him to weigh it...then if it's legal and not negative tell him the problem / try and figure out why he drilled it the way he did.

yeah... its obviously a brain fart on your driller's part...  did he forget that your are right handed?  From teh cg location and weight hole.. it appears as if the ball would have a TON of negative side weight.. prob illegal.  With the piin that far away from your PAP, flare would be minimal.  basically I would assume that layout takes away most of the core dynamics.  If it were me, I would demand a new ball (as plugging and redrilling drastically reduces the value of a ball).  Its a shame to ruin a ball like that.

S^2...one small correction.  Based on Mo Pinel's writings asymetric balls will have approximately the same amount of flare placing the pin 6" from your PAP or 3-1/2 (or so) away from your PAP.  <---Atleast that is based on what I've been told by Chris Forry at Buddies based on his conversation with Mo.

However, as the pin to pap goes over the 4 to 4-1/2" distance an asymetric ball will roll more end over end.

Goof,

Tell Mr. Forry to open his ears next time he has a conversation with Mo regarding his writings.  Not all asymmetric cores have this tendency, and Mo knows that.

Dave,

Assuming that you do not posses some mutated form of release, that ball is F'd.  Take it back for a refund.  Go find a driller that can do the job properly.

dave300 -- I agree that a new ball is the best solution.  But if your driller won't do that, before you plug and redrill, try plugging the weight hole and see if that makes it useable.  --  JohnP

I might have stated things incorrectly as I didn't really mean to make it sound like all asymmetric balls react this way.  Just typin' a bit fast.

I know it wasn't Forry stating things wrong...just my conveyance of information not be accurate / complete.
