Strider stated that CG placement will cause the layout to be 'suspect'. This is a good explanation of CG placement for most bowlers.
Closer inspection of the ball (i.e. finger hole depth or thumb hole depth) by someone with knowledge of layouts and static weights would be required to determine whether the ball is close to legal or not. And of course, the local pro shop with a calibrated dodo scale is the preferred method of determining actual static weights.
