Weak layout
« on: April 20, 2008, 11:27:58 AM »
What would be a weak layout for someone with a PAP of 4 1/2 over and 3/8 up? I'm right handed, and pin above middle finger is somewhere between 5" and 5 1/4", I'm guessing. To have a weaker layout, like in the 5 1/2" to 6" range, would I put the pin to the left of the holes? I track lower, so anything not too far from the middle finger I wouldn't track over. Any suggestions on a weak layout?

My PAP is 4 over 3/8 up, so you and I are about the same. A weak (and late) drill for me is anything with the pin left of the bridge. I don't know what kind of circumference coverage you have, but even with my short PAP I roll over quite a bit of the ball. I have to be careful as soon as I go left of the bridge to avoid clipping holes.

I have an Ebonite Matrix Conquest with a pin-over-middle drill that comes out very weak and is great for playing up the boards late in a block. Very mild reaction.

This layout comes out approximately 5.5 x 6.
