Weak Pin/Strong CG vs. Strong Pin/Weak CG
« on: August 29, 2006, 03:11:57 AM »
If I were to take two of the same ball (symmetrical core) and drill one with a 6" pin/4" cg to pap and one with a 4" pin/6" cg to pap, what would be the difference in ball reaction between these two balls? Assume same surface prep, same pin distance above midline and no weight holes. Thanks for the help.

Forget the PAP to cg distances and just look at the PAP to pin.  The 6" is almost in the track, it's not going to flare much and will go long.  The 4" is close to max flare (3 3/8").  It's going to flare a lot more, start earlier and break more.  --  JohnP
