weaker pin?
« on: December 11, 2010, 08:28:43 AM »
i asked a ball rep his opinion of a particular ball with a layout of 75x5x35, he considered my few stats and said i was in the ball park but a weaker pin would be recommended.  would that mean increasing pin to pap out towards 6in?

Generally, I would agree with that, but, not to appear unreasonable, why didn't you ask him what he meant, at that moment in time?

5" is a pretty weak pin position (pin-PAP distance) in any case. Going to 6" often does not make a large difference. It is almost trivial, unless it were a very large flaring, high RG differential ball. I also would wonder at the significance of this statement.
