Old School Layout

Why doesn't any one use the old Axis/Leverage drilling?  Put the cg on the PAP and set the pin distance based on the pin out, then drill out the CG to get back to legal.  

I have tried it out on a Strike Zone and was wondering why is this drilling not used anymore?

The next ball I'm thinking about drilling is a weak pearl, Storm Jolt, Thunderstruck or Fury Pearl TE.  I'm leaning toward the Fury Pearl TE, because to keep it simple, same core just different coverstock.  

Based on the brunswick reaction chart, it looks like a med/dry ball.  The one thing I am worried about is the Fury core, it's a strong core that wants to get into a roll.  The TE with this drill may roll out if it's too dry, but then if its that dry I'll pull out the Good Old Black Turbo or Desert Heat!

I'll add to the thread when I get the next addition to the arsenal.
