Dimension drilling

Posted on the Storm forum but it is not getting many looks so I figured I would try hear as well.

I have had my Dimension for a while now but I rarely throw it, I have just never matched up with it. I started by drilling it 4x4 but could never find enough oil to throw it on. Redrilled it with the pin above the bridge, probably about 5-6" from PAP, and now it tracks over the thumb.

It has a short pin so I was thinking about drilling it pin under the ring finger with the CG kicked out a little. Just wondering what type of reaction I can expect from that drilling and if anyone has any success with that layout. Will a flare increasing hole enhance the reaction?

  If your stats are correct in your sig then a 4x4 would put the pin real close to being under your ring finger. My PAP is 5.75 over and 5" pin to pap is under my ring. Also a flare increasing hole will do just that increase flare which will make the ball react sooner to friction. If anything polish the ball. Cover prep is so key to ball reation.

In general, I prefer the Dimension drilled pin under. As to the weight hole, if the ball is in fact a short pin, statics will probably not allow you to drill a hole in the thumb positive quadrant with the ball drilled as it is now. Based on the axis coordinates you have given, redrilling with pin below the bridge would probably be ok, and the resulting statics will allow you to place a balance hole if necessary.

when i first got mine it was drilled pin under ring cg kicked and a weight hole down..  rolled WAY to early and my rev rate makes it even worse!! lol
had bout 9 games on it so i decided bout 2months ago to redrill it. put pin above my middle finger and kicked cg no weight whole then some polish, the ball is a BEAST!! so glad i did that.  pap is 4.75" over and a 1.25" up
