what does this layout do?

This is one of Brad Angelos balls

what kind of reaction would you expect from this drilling

roll early with pin under, but wont hook till later because the pin is on the negative side (middle finger). The CG bumped out helps get it into a roll.

Better have average or better revs if you lay the ball out like that, depending on your PAP of course. If you have a 4" or less PAP, then that's just a regular drilling.

(No joke; just odd circumstance. Everyone seems to look at pin position with respect to the holes and not with respect to the bowler's PAP and release specs. doesn't do any good.)

Charlest this should be marked statement of the year.  Many people look at pin position relative to the gripping holes and make an assumption on pin to PAP distance.   If a bowler using that ball had a 4" PAP that ball would be like a 4.5" pin to PAP and would be a STRONG layout.   If a bowler has a 6" PAP, that layout is VERY WEAK.   Pin distance to PAP is the important part of this.  

Lets assume that BA has a PAP of 5.5.   This ball is about a 6" pin to PAP.   This ball will lope through the fronts, begin to read the mids (based on pin under and Xhole), and will hard arc off of the dry backs.

And to add to the previous statements, how the ball reacts is extremely dependent on the condition it's used on and the bowler's release.  I'll guarantee that ball won't react the same when I throw it as it does when Brad throws it!!  --  JohnP

im 5 3/4 over and 3/4 up, above average speed and revs.
I have this layout ona couple of balls and its awesome. It retains energy for so long. Strike Zone sanded to 600 (down from 800 Box finish) is great for fresh backends beacuse it isnt flippy. Yet still trucks through carrydown after a few games have been bowled.
