The double thumb layout will always have a 4" pin to PAP and VAL angle of 30°. The Drill angle will be different for different PAP coordinates. You have work backwards to find out what the drill angle will be.
The PSA will be 1 1/2" from the edge of the thumb hole and the PSA will be 1/2" from the edge of the thumb hole. You should always spin a ball on a Determinator to make sure of the location of the PSA. It's not always where it's marked. I have seen them miss marked by several inches.
The double thumb can really increase the mass property dynamics of a ball. When Wlater Ray won in Hammond last season he was throwing an Intense LevRG with a double thumb this ball has a Diff of .056 and Mo tested the ball after Walter won and it was over .100 after drilling.
So you can see how much effect a double thumb drilling can have on a ball.
David Lee,
Looking at the picture of your Virtual Gravity I would say that is not a double thumb drilling. Yes you have hole near your thumb but dynamically the Pin and PSA are not in the correct location.
I have several balls drilled with a balance hole on the gradeint line with the hole in the P3 location and it looks like it would be a double thumb but it is not.
As any ball, a double thumb drilling can be a powerful addition to your arsenal if used at the correct time.
