Title: What is ball plug made of?
Post by: tgs300 on October 05, 2005, 02:23:27 AM
I know how easy it is to get ball plug....but I was looking around on ebay and came across this....

http://cgi.ebay.com/3-gal-Kit-Liquid-Epoxy-Resin-and-Hardener_W0QQitemZ7549340564QQcategoryZ1268QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Is it the same thing?

Who knows?  I wouldn't take a chance.  Plug materials are designed specifically for ball application.  Can't cure brittle, for example.  --  JohnP

If not exactly the same, it is pretty close.  The kits that pro shops buy have pumps available that ensure the proper ratio of resin and hardener (3 to 1 or 100 to 33) to yield the "stiffer" finished product.
