Equipment for high axis rotation
« on: March 05, 2005, 12:35:42 AM »
I am a low to medium rev and speed bowler that has alot of axis rotation, but not much axis tilt (track high)  Pro shop operator is advising me to buy lower RG and medium diff equipment (Brunsick Inferno line), other people advising equipment that goes long and flips, struggle with over/under lane conditions.  Any advice.

If you struggle with over/under, a go long/snap ball is quite the opposite of what you need. I think if you could find something like a monster bruiser, they are very good. They have a lot of control which is what you need on over/under conditions. An early rolling ball is basically the ticket. What type of lane conditons are you bowling on? (light, medium, heavy?) Something from the inferno line would be ok to, but again it depends on how much oil your bowling on to determine which is best.

I am bowling on medium oil, top hat condition, dry on the out and pretty heavy in the middle (10 to 10).

ok well that rules out the ultimate, by far. The intense is almost out of the question because it hooks up on dry pretty well and probably wouldn't be the best for over under stuff. The original inferno would probably fit nicely there. If your going out of the inferno line, there is also a bunch of others available. One, being the monster bruiser like I said previously, but you'd have to grab that fast because they are getting phased out soon. Another may be a nemesis. (since you have lower revs as you said, a stronger ball should be fine on medium oil as long as you dont mind playing inside a little bit)
