From the 70x30 drilling? What determines the reaction in a dual angle layout? What does each angle control??

Direct from Mo, who developed the system. The first portion is about how to lay balls out. If you're just interested in how the angles affect reaction, skip down to the section about applying the system. But always keep in mind, the primary affect on ball reaction attributable to the layout is the pin to PAP distance. -- JohnP

and the coverstock itself... a solid will roll different than a pearl etc...

Grayson -- I said "attributable to the layout". If you want to get into other factors, number one is ball selection, which determines core and coverstock. Then coverstock preparation, only after those comes layout. Of course, bowler's release and speed and lane conditions play a part also, but the driller can't do anything about those (unless we get into coaching, which is a whole different subject). -- JohnP
