What role does the CG play?

All things being equal what role does the CG play in the layout of the ball?

If the CG is “kicked” out towards you PAP what effect will it have on the ball path?

In a stacked leverage both the PIN & CG are equal distances from the PAP. If the CG is moved AWAY from the PAP what would the effect be on the ball?

In general I just call the CG a weight hole indicator now.  Reason is the whole Mass Bias (MB) was of drilling can be applied to any bowling ball.  On an enhanced mass bias ball the MB, Rad, whatever the company calls it, is marked on the ball.   But on a symetrical ball (one without a marked Mass Bias) the CG acts as a MB marker.  In order to find the MB make line that is 6 3/4 long starting at the pin and through the CG.

I don't know Brian, but I'd say( I'm no expert, just learning) he is spot on with the symmetrical ball theory.

Since I showed up at my local alley with my Raging inferno, and killed the place with it...more are showing up.  I was probably the only guy throwing brunswick.....

My Raging is drilled label leverage (3.75 X 5.25).  Pin along side of my ring finger, grip center passing right thru the CG.  The ball ended up 1/8 oz neg side, and just a hair of top weight.

The guy I waxed 2 weeks ago showed up last week with one. (suprise?).  His is drilled label leverage with the cg kicked out about an inch (it is more a 4 X 4).  It finished up at low top weight, and almost 1 oz pos. side with no hole.

When I throw them (are grips are close enough) they both react the same way.  I think mine might start up a hair sooner but it is too close to call....I will say that mine seems to carry better, but it also fits me better so it is just speculation......
