Pin Between and UNDER? Fingers

i get what is supposed to happen to pin above and inbetween, and pin to the right. but i saw a drilling that is...

what is this supposed to do for you compared to the other layups??? go longer? better oil?

i saw it on a gp2...and it was beast! just trying to get an idea what is was drilled for.

Pin under the bridge (pictured) will roll earlier than if the pin were located above the bridge.  However, that drilling will have a more dramatic backend reaction than if the pin were located under the ring finger because it will store a little more energy the further you move the pin away from your positive axis point.

I have that layout on 2 of my balls a icon2 and a reaction roll they both have weight holes on the MB i love them the icon2 goes longer because of the polish i have on it but then it makes a nice smooth turn up the roll i have at 600 grit and is very good for sport shots for when you need something for more control.

I will be drilling a GP2 for myself like this for next season and maybe 2 and polish up the second one, as this is a great drill!

I drilled up my 15 lb. Hammer New Deal in this fashion with the weight hole drilled in the mass bias.  I had never drilled a ball up like this before and wanted to see what it would do.  It is an early rolling, very strong hooking layout for the New Deal.  In fact, I have had to polish it to keep it from "hooking out" and on the right side of the head pin.

I have another New Deal drilled with the pin above the ring and the weight hole on the PAP and the reaction is much different, more controllable and tame.  

I believe this drilling, especially with mass bias marked balls is supposed to be a very aggressive drilling.

Got this layout on my Combat Zone now, far easier to read the reaction(love the reavier roll in the mids!) than satcking the pin and cg with pin over the ring finger. My Phenom and Green Revolution will be in for similar treatment when they visit the drill

What's this New Deal you're referring to?  Is it a "New" Deal?

D Scott,

What are the distances from the MB to your Cg and what is you PAP?  Because this will probally determine whether the weight hole is inside or outside of your PAP, and as quiet as its kept, a weight hole inside of your PAP=A WHOLE LOTTA FLAIR.

DP3 means you have the name wrong. There's the Deal, the Real Deal and the Big Deal. There is no New Deal ... yet.
