Who has experience with pin on PAP drillings
« on: November 30, 2005, 08:03:25 AM »
I remember readinng on here something to the effect of drilling a ball with a longer pin and placing the pin on the PAP for a control peice. I am wondering what sort of results folks have had with this drilling and if it will agree with a higher track player.

With a medium rev rate, I wouldn't recommend this drilling. You will get no drive unless the backends are super dry. Try pin 1 1/2 inches or 2 inches from pap instead.

Thats the thing, one house I bowl in the backends and the outsides are sharp! Not a drop of oil on them. Very clean. I like to throw out side and use a down and in kind of shot and I was wondering if this would work well. I was also thinking about if it would work on a cooked lane.

I presently have an AMF Changeling with the pin on PAP. It rolls very smooth with a strong, predictable arcing backend. It's the ball I go to when the lanes are breaking down, over-under, or I need to shoot down-and-in from the outside! I always have a ball with this drill in my bag.  Love it!
