Wiseman Layout...and others

I know its been asked 100 times on here, but i never bothered to read it, and the stupid search will only let me look at the past 60 days, but what exactly is it? How does it look? What is the reaction? And is there a website that has the names and pictures of alot of layouts? Thanks before hand.

same here
my 12 year old 315* 1/2-1in. pin purple buzzsaw has more backend than anything else i own(including inferno, trauma, illusion, v2 pearl) and with its kinda weak coverstock(not sure what coverstock it is since there is NO info on it) its great for wet/dry conditions(including the house shot)

ive got an old triton heat i might plug and redrill since it was given to me with the 315* layout

both of the 315* balls i have, have got a weight hole...so look for low top weight if possible(i believe)

so the 315 gives a ton of backend....but good length...what do you think of putting it on somthing like a crunch time, crash, or dry heat for dry lanes?

Is it called the wiseman because the pin is placed on the centerline?
Most of the 315 layout that I have seen have the pin next to the fingers or in a leverage position.

what would putting this layout in an phenom unleashed do? would it counteract what the ball was designed for?

I'm not so sure about a 315 layout giving massive back end.  I have it on one ball, a Roto-Grip Major Assault.  The MA is an extremely aggressive ball by nature.  With the 315 it sure isn't.  It may be, in fact, just about my least hooking ball, with a very mild backend.  Still has lots of "hit" but doesn't cover all the boards.

I wouldn't say massive.
I would say strong arc depending on the ball you are
using, as all of the energy is saved for the back end.
I have a NIB Viper the I my try this on just for S&Gs
I am going to place the pin above the fingers, instead of
leverage.

i have alot of hand, and alot of speed, (see profile) but what i'm talkin about is using it on dry...and we have alot of it here.

I was thinking of trying this particular reaction on a Monster Slay/R that I hopefully will be trading for soon (waiting to hear back from Calimon on that one...) and was wondering...

1) would this be a good ball to do it with (dry lane ball, not sure about core "strength")

2) having the pin on the center line, would that cause any problems for a high tracker? (i.e. tracking over the holes?)

All info is much appreciated as always!

Good news about the Slay/R, now I just have to get the ball...never heard as to whether being a high tracker would matter.  Also, was curious if the pin length mattered too...if the Slay/R deal falls through, I have a Scream/R with about a 2" pin that I might try, or if that's too long/too strong, I have an old school Columbia 300 Tour Boss Pearl that I may try it on with about a 1.5" pin.

So in reading Mario's description of the 315, it seems as though there needs to be a marked MB?  Awesome picture btw, very good visual description of it, and the darkness is irrelevant.  However, not knowing much about Buzzsaws, does that ball have a marked MB, or is that not as important as Mario states it to be?
