Is this true or not?

Scenario... Heavy oil ball, sanded, throwing straight up 10 slow (14-15 at release) seems weak, moving 1-2 boards if anything. I can't tell if it's sliding or burning up. It definitely isn't crossing over or even thinking about it.
Assumption...
If it's flooded, throwing more speed will still slide, but if it's burning up, throwing more speed will increase the reaction since it will clear a bit better??

True/False?
Good ways to tell the difference?

I agree with Bob, but I'd also try moving 5 boards inside and swinging it a little and moving 5 boards outside and pointing it up a bit.

Also try moving the target as well as your feet. It just might be you're playing the wrong line for the ball, your release or the oil pattern. Many factors are involved here.

Next step is some polish, AS LONG AS YOU KNOW THE ORIGINAL BOX SURFACE AND HOW TO RETURN IT TO THAT.

FYI track what your doing with pencil and paper; too many factors involved to remember every change you make.
