Title: # x # Layout Question.
Post by: walterrayseggs on November 22, 2007, 02:01:35 PM
When laying out a ball, say 4" from pin to pap, and 3" from cg to pap(these measurements are for example only) how do you determine where to run the VAL line so you know where to put the grip? Would you just rotate it to get the pin height you desire?

Thanks

Thanks. I felt dumb after posting this thread because I started looking around and found my answer, it was just worded differently than I did.

Basically yes.  Your choice of pin height dictates where the midline is, which controls where the VAL ends up.  Or you choose the pin-to-VAL distance, which sets the VAL and thus the midline.
