If you are looking for a great control / Benchmark ball for medium oiled lanes then don't look any further than this new Rumor. If you liked the original Rumor then you will want the Nasty Rumor, it has a little more length but smoother off the spot. The Nasty Rumor for me fits right in between my Creed Revelation and my Freakshow Flip. I drilled it with my normal pin above ring finger drilling and it gives me good length and a nice controlled backend reaction.
Sometimes you just don't want that Skid Flip reaction especially on lighter patterns and Sport Patterns. This is a must have in everybody's bag especially for Tournaments.

I drilled mine pin 4 1/2 from my axis, Pin over ring basically.  I have used this ball for a week or so now and feel comfortable saying this is a great benchmark ball.  Nothing to strong in the backend but more of a controlled motion.

I love this ball, I think I have found my replacement for the Too Reckles, this ball gives me great control with nice smooth backend motion, my layout I choice is 45x5x40 with hole in PAP. I knocked the Polish off with a 4000 pad. On a THS this ball delivers the goods without over hooking when it hits the dry, Good Benchmark ball

Here is the new addition to the Rumor series, the Nasty Rumor.  This ball uses the same core as the first Rumor but this time the ball is wrapped up with the Deception Pearl Plus cover stock to create more length and a sharper backend motion.

For this ball, I used a different drilling pattern.  I made it at 70x4.5”x75 with the pin under the bridge and no weight hole.  The goal with this drilling was to create some length with a smooth transition on the back end.  I wanted to be able to play that ball or drier lane conditions without being over/under just like I was able to play with my Vintage Inferno.  Compared to the Creed Revelation, on the fresh, I play the Nasty 1 and 1 right.  But when I play with the Revelation and it begins to over react, I play the Nasty in the same area and I can continue to strike.  Compared to the Alley Cat, I play the Nasty 2 and 1 left.  I get the same kind of shape but just more overall hook because of the stronger cover.

To conclude, what surprises me the more is how much hook and hitting power you can get at this affordable price.  In bonus you get a really nice looking ball!

Nasty Rumor

The Nasty Rumor can be summed up in one phrase…”They Got It Right”!!!  I was not a fan of the original Rumor simply because I couldn’t get the ball to move.  The Nasty Rumor has changed all of that.  This ball is just INSANE!  This symmetrical core ball is one of the most angular balls I have thrown since the DV8 Vandal Line.  The ball motion is incredible and its hitting power is just amazing.  Drilled with a simple leverage drill layout, this ball can be thrown from multiple angles and retain its hitting power off the spot.

The Nasty Rumor is one of the best balls in its class and has an incredible price point for the average and advanced bowler.  I have never thrown a symmetrical ball with this much hook potential.  It is simply amazing what this ball can do.
