DV8 describes the Diva as a ball that “Finished with a High Gloss Finish, the Diva skids easily through the front and mid-lane revving hard on the backend providing a strong and continuous motion showing the pins who’s boss. The Class 6G coverstock has just the right attitude on medium-oily to light oil lane conditions.”

Before I even drilled the Diva I knew I was going to love it.  I am a big fan of symmetric equipment and seeing that the converstock was stronger than the Marauder Madness, I was very excited.  I decided to put one of my favorite layouts in the Diva, 5x3x2.  In the past this layout has allowed me to get left and open up the lane a bit.  To prevent squirt, I knocked the factory finish of the Diva, and but 3000 abralon on the Diva.

I am unbelievably impressed with the Diva! She allows me to get left, and then keep going left.  I have never seen continuation like I see out of the Diva.  No matter how deep I got, the Diva rolled through the 8 pin every single time.  When other balls would roll out, the Diva just keeps driving.

On a THS, I started at 13 with a breakpoint at about 6 board, and by the end of the night I was crossing at about 25 with a breakpoint still out at around 7-8.  On the first night out of the box I shot 772.

I also was able use the Diva on the 45’ Mexico City pattern.  The Diva handled the length and volume with ease.  I was able to start at about 17 with a breakpoint of 13, and the Diva went through the pins extremely hard.  As the pattern broke down I was able to continue moving in and never lost reaction from the Diva.  I never had to change balls in 4 games.

Do not let the name of color fool you.  The Diva is a very strong piece of equipment!  At the same surface it is roughly 3-4 boards stronger than the Marauder Madness.  Throw this ball and you will turn heads!

DV8 has done it again and again. This ball goes thru the rack pretty strong. I drilled mine up 60x5x35 out the box it gets very easy through the fronts and the recovery on the back end it strong I have yet to see this ball bounce of the spot even on the Cheetah( ball was a little to strong on this pattern). Looking forward to throwing this on other PBA patterns.

COMMENTS

Likes: It is one of the strongest symmetrical balls I have seen in a while, and has a great response to friction and doesn't overreact too hard off of the friction and dry boards.

Dislikes: NONE

The Diva is one of the first balls that I have drilled with a "Rico" style drilling with a strong weight hole. When I first got this ball, I knew that I was going to fall in love with it. It allows me to play further left on the lane than I have with some of my other equipment. It also has a great response to friction, and it definitely provides a lot of carry out there. With the strong drilling that I have on it, when the lanes start to break down, I am able to jump left and rip the cover off it, and still see it come back and carry the world.

REVIEW:

I have heard many good things about the Diva and could not wait to get one drilled up.  I dilled the Diva with a 4 x 3 x 2  1/2 with the pin ending up in the ring finger.  What I was looking for in the Diva was a ball I could move to my right and target 15 - 10  with a nice move into the 1-3 pocket. What I got was a nice suprise. The Diva has a stronger cover stock than I thought.  I knew it recovered but this was exciting to see from this ball.   On a fresh House shot the Diva did what I wanted it to do.  Instead of playing 15-10 I wound up targeting 17 and playing out to 9 and the ball rolled through the 5 and 8 pin very consistantly.  The Diva recieved with no problem.  I prefer symmetrical cored balls because they roll much smoother for me.  The Diva  was smooth in the front and  read the  break point like I wanted it to . Smooth strong and responsive.   I kept it at box finish.

Length:39 feet

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): Sport

I am a Left Hander and my ball speed around 16 mph.

Diva Ball Serface:  Hit it with a light 4000 Abrolan Pad.

Diva Ball Layout:  Pin under my ring finger with the CG kicked our a little.  I have a 3 inch pin.

The Diva is such a terrific ball and it is my first ball out of my bag.  I can play straight, or open the lane with this ball.  It has worked right out of the box. Don't let the color or name fool you.  This ball gets through the heads, and has a great back end reaction.  I have shot 1-300 with this ball.  The Diva helped me win our City Tournament Doubles and Team.  I have used this ball on multiple lane conditions.

If you have not got one of these balls, you need to.  This ball has been a big hit here in Fort Wayne, IN.  I know 3-300's and 1-800 that has shot with this ball her in Fort Wayne.  My wife Erica Cutler shot a 300 with her Diva this past Thursday.

DV8 did a Great Job on this ball, and the price is great also.

This ball works great on Medium to Light oil patterns.

Likes: This ball gets through the heads great and has a fantastic backend reaction, and hard hitting pin action.  You can hit the ball with surface and it will do what you ask it to do.

Dislikes:  This ball is not for really heavy oil patterns for me.

Fantastic Job DV8!!!

Diva 45x4.5x45 (pin over ring finger, no hole) currently at 1000 + rough buff (matte)
Pattern: Stone Street (43'), Easy Street (37'), Middle Road (40'), Cheetah

Likes:  This may be the most versatile ball I have ever thrown.  It is the only ball that comes with me to all 3 leagues and has been effective on everything from 43' to wood and Cheetah.  What impresses me the most about the Diva is how much I can manipulate it, whether I want to add speed and stay more up the back to play straight or loop it from deep inside.  The Diva has just the right amount of hook and length to be playable on any condition.

Dislikes:  Overlaps a with my Too Reckless and Marauder

I just drilled the new ball by DV8 The Diva XOXO and used in league play and shot 697. This ball is predicable in that it strikes and keeps on striking. It gets thru the heads very easily and saves all its energy to drive thru the pins. A bowler can open up the lanes with this ball.
