COMMENTS

The Night Prowler is my favorite of the two Prowlers.  The Night Prowler is about a foot longer downlane but has a much more angular motion then the Original Prowler.  The Night Prowler is great for Medium to Heavy lane conditions and will be a great tournament ball for bowlers arsenal.

COMMENTS:
The DV8 Night Prowler is the newest ball in DV8's $$$$$ price point. This ball features DOT Technology, backed by an industry leading 4 year warranty. It also features Dynamicore, which definitely adds to the hit and carry of this ball. The cover is the all new N-Forcer SF Pearl which gives you additional length compared to the OG Prowler.
I held off just throwing a review out for this ball because oob I didnt really match up to this ball on the conditions I normally see. It was just way too over under for my game. After multiple surface changes, I settled on 360 with hard pressure, light 500 4 sides then Crown Factory Compound.

For the layout I went with my typical layout of 30 x 4 1/4" x 40, and my first thought on this ball is super clean. I have it about a foot longer than the OG Prowler, and definitely more backend continuation as well.
This ball glides through the heads storing max energy for the backend. I definitely feel like the OG Prowler can handle a little more volume than the Night Prowler, but when you have to chase the oil left as the lanes open up, the Night Prowler is the better choice as it literally feels with some friction I have as much room left as I need. I can definitely see those who already have the original Prowler picking up a Night Prowler and covering most all typical THS comditions, they definitely make a great 1-2 combination.

Overall, if you are looking for a skid flip type reaction, add to it Dynamicore and DOT technology, and you have what I feel is the best skid flip ball on the market right now, the Night Prowler!!

Having been with Ebonite for the last 7 years, I haven’t had any experience with other brands, so forgive me as being new to Brunswick, DV8, and Radical I make comparisons to the ball reactions with which I’m familiar. The core numbers on this are very similar to the old EBI Verve core.  This was not a very popular core, but I loved it.  The Night Prowler  had a “rolly” look to it which I expected. The NP got easy length, but was not squirty.  It picked up a strong forward roll with an arcing motion off the end of the pattern and hit the pins hard with excellent continuation.  The carry was surprisingly good.  Many times my eyes were thinking 10 pin, and the NP blew it out.  I was also able to use the NP for all 3 games of league, which is a rarity for me these days.  This is a good all-around ball that should match up well with any style and would be quite strong in a high rev player’s hands.  In addition, the color scheme creates a very cool look as the ball travels down the lane.  For more information, check out www.dv8bowling.com.
