Nightmare
« on: October 02, 2012, 12:49:57 PM »
- Description: The black/purple/lime solid DV8 Nightmare sets a new standard in aggressive hook motion for the DV8 product line as a result of the new asymmetric Nightmare core design matched with the new Class 8 reactive coverstock. The DV8 Nightmare will provide stronger hook motion in oil and an extremely quick response to friction on the backend that cuts through the pins on medium to heavy oil. The Nightmare is now the most aggressive ball in the DV8 product line.

LANE CONDITION

Length:  Med-long

Volume:  Medium volume w/ some carrydown

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc):  THS, I used this ball in league after another league bowled.

COMMENTS

Likes: Love how it gets through the heads with ease and how it retains energy to hook hard on the back end.  Also, this thing carries like a freight train.

Dislikes:  None yet.

I drilled this ball 50 x 5.5 x 30.  I have used it both OOB (4000 grit) and polished.  I found that when polished, it works great on medium oil.  I was even able to use it on as second-shift league and people were coming up to me and saying, "HOW are you getting so much back end??"  DB8's Class 8 reactive resin is amazing!

I would recommend this ball to anyone who wants crazy hook and continuation, but without sacrificing control.  In addition, it carries like a beast.  I was able to carry light, high, and even (wait for it) dead flush!  It seems to keep the pins low to the deck.

TOP NOTCH BALL. It is very versatile, too.  Just tweak the coverstock to get just the reaction you want.

Likes:this is my heavy oil ball. I have it 1000abr pin over ring with negative cg. I get good length for such a strong ball with a smooth back end...yet a little more angular than most heavy oil balls. Longer with more angle and more backend than my freight train. I could see how one could polish this ball and use it on medium oil. For my purpose its great. I can plwy kwny different lines and crush the pocket. As long as tgere is some oil this ball rocks .very good heavy oil ball for people who are rev dominant like me and desire a little length and controllability.
