Here is the new upper mid ball from DV8, the Prowler.  This ball features a brand new core, the Divergent.  This ball is wrapped up with the N-Forcer Plus cover, the same used on the Hitman Enforcer.  This ball offers the famous dynamicore to enhance the hitting power to get near the Quantum’s one.  This ball also features the brand new DOT, so the raiser pin is located underneath the ball.  This technology allows you to drill wherever you want without taking care of the pin placement and wonder about the warranty. 

Because I loved so much the Hitman Enforcer, I used the same drilling.  The pin is just above the ring finger and the mass bias is just right of the thumb finger. 

On the lane this ball clears the heads pretty easily because of the pearl cover.  I was also surprised about how much backend this ball got.  Compared to the Hitman Enforcer, I play the ball about the same but the shape is different.  The Prowler has more length and backend.  Compared to the Notorious, I play the Prowler 3 boards right with my feet and 2 boards right with my eyes.  The Notorious rolls a couple feet sooner and cover more boards because of the dull surface.   I think this is the most backend I got with a DV8 ball. 

The ball comes with a crown factory compound finish.  But like all the other DV8 covers, the N-Forcer plus is very versatile.  It can be padded with a 1000 grit or even 500 grit pad for speed dominant or when you want to play heavier patterns.   

To conclude, if you want to have a big backend ball and a ball that can clear the heads pretty easily, the Prowler  is your choice.

COMMENTS:
The DV8 Prowler is the newest ball in DV8's $$$$$ price point. This ball features DOT Technology, backed by an industry leading 4 year warranty. It also features Dynamicore, which definitely adds to the hit and carry of this ball.

I went with my typical layout of 30 x 4 1/4" x 40, and my first thought on this ball is super clean. This ball glides through the heads storing max energy for the backend. I have this ball a tick longer yet not quite as quick off the friction as the Hitman Enforcer. I definitely feel like the Prowler can handle a little more volume than my Enforcer can as well. There definitely has been a few times where I wished I could have the Enforcer shape on a little more volume, and thats what Ive gotten from the Prowler.

I will add too that the Prowler and the Notorious pairs very well as a 1-2 punch. Add a touch of surface to the Notorious, and you could easily handle most hvy to med hvy conditions with those 2 balls.

Overall, if you are looking for a skid flip type reaction, add to it Dynamicore and DOT technology, and you have what I feel is the best skid flip ball on the market right now.
