Drilled the Misfit 60x4x60 (pin below ring) to closely resemble my Yellow/Magenta that has had 200 games and is in need of being replaced. I have thrown all the Misfits, and there are clearly differences in ball reaction between the different colours.
A recap of the Misfits as I see them:
Yellow/Magenta - The earliest, most even
Orange/Blue - A little weaker but unfortunately squirtier than the yellow/magenta
Green - Overall the strongest, stronger than the lane than the Magenta or Orange
Yellow - The most skid snap.
The Red/Orange Solid is what the Orange/Blue should have been. It clears the fronts just fine, rolls up in the middle of the lane and makes a soft move off of the friction. With 400rpms and a low track, I really appreciate how this ball lets me stay right and not have to worry about seeing sharp angles in the back end of the lane.
This ball compliments my Dude which is a little longer, but more responsive to friction by helping me blend out wet/dry lanes and fits directly under the Madness with a similar shape, but considerably more length.
The Red/Orange Solid is a return back to the reaction of the original 2 Misfits and offers bowlers an option to stay nearer the track and play easier angles to control the pocket. I highly recommend this for rev dominant players who normally create strong back end motions
COMMENTS
Likes: Gets through the front, slow response to friction
Dislikes: A solid, low end ball drilled pin down that is slow off the friction is just not designed for deep inside angles. For the inside shots, try the Diva Pearl, Ruckus or Mutiny
