DV8 has come out with a new thick shell ball called Poison.  Not only does this ball look great down the lanes, this ball is very clean down the lane and provides incredible hitting power off the spot.  This symmetrical ball has a standard leverage drill in it and reads the lanes extremely well.  This ball is a definite add to any bowler’s bag for tournaments or league bowling.  This ball is a great complement to the balls in the rest of the DV8 line, giving any bowler more to choose from when the lanes get tough.  DV8….If you are not throwing DV8, you’re just not bowling! #brunswickbowling, #dv8bowling, #radicalbowling technologies

COMMENTS:
The DV8 Poison is the newest addition to the DV8 lineup, adding a thickshelled ball to make things interesting. I needed a symmetric benchmark as I missed the Turmoils, so I laid my Poison out to fit right in the middle of my bag. With the layout and surface prep at 2000, it falls under my Pitbulls but above my Hitman Enforcer in terms of overall strength.

What Im finding that I like the most about this ball is that its strong enough to use on the fresh, and clean enough to use all 3 games just chasing the oil line in as they breakdown.

Add to that the defined hit you get with the thicker shell, this ball really sends pins everywhere especially on the light hits. Overall this is a great looking piece, thats really a blast to throw when Im able to use it. Do yourself a favor and pick up a Poison for your game.

Ball Weight: 15lb

DRILL PATTERN- Pin over ring

X Hole (if there is one): no

BOWLER STYLE- Tweener

Rev Rate: med

Ball Speed:16

Grit: 1000

Type: (Matte, Polish, Sanded): Sanded

Length: medium

Volume: medium

Type (THS, Sport Pattern etc): THS

BALL REACTION: Controlled

Length: Medium

Breakpoint Shape: smooth

COMMENTS: The new DV8 Posion features the same thick shell that has been a staple in the Quantum’s. If your looking for a ball to use on Med- Heavy oil pattern with fresh backends then this is the ball. I have had a lot of success using this ball at a house that has a lot of friction, it gives me control at the breakpoint but tons of power when it hits the pins.

Likes: Hitting power and control

Dislikes: none
