Drilled my Grudge Pearl using my favorite Asym layout 50x5x45 (pin up).
I really like my Grudge and found the Hybrid to be a little too straight in oil, but very responsive to dry and was worried that the Pearl would also be sensitive. The Grudge Pearl gives me average length with a nice move downlane which covers some serious territory, yet is still controllable. I am a bowler who would rather be ahead of transition than panicking to make moves to catch up to a pair and the Grudge Pearl plays perfectly into my game as I can cheat left with this ball and not worry about leaving 2-10's by blowing way through the breakpoint.
The Grudge Pearl is the compliment that I needed for my original Grudge, giving me a few more feet of length to save a little more energy on the backend for when I get my feet left.
Compared to other balls in my bag, the Grudge Pearl is closest to my Ultimate Nirvana, but just a tiny bit longer and stronger around the corner. The Grudge Pearl is a bit stronger than my Brainiac and definitely lets me cheat further into the oil than I can with any of my midrange equipment.
So far I have used it on a variety of house patterns, 41' Beaten Path, 36' Challenge Pattern and a 45' Long pattern. The longer the pattern and the further I get my feet left, the better this ball looks. My reaction on short was pretty suspect, but I expected that with a pin up pearl on 36' and I have had a surprisingly good look from game 2 on trying to shut my angles down on some top hatted house patterns.
I recommend the Grudge Pearl for anybody looking for a ball to be used primarily from inside angles on medium/heavy oil whether that be on longer sport patterns or on a house condition.
