The DV8 Verge takes your game to the edge and beyond. This ball uses the Threshold core which includes DynamiCore and DOT to offer great power and superb durability. This core is combined with the Inciter Solid Reactive coverstock which provides the traction required for a strong overall motion. The core and cover combination gives performance that lasts longer and provides more traction as it goes down the entire lane while still producing continuation.

Love the reaction of the Verge this is DV8's strongest Symmetric ball to date. Along with the Dot technology and 4yr warranty you can't go wrong. Drilled mine up 45 x 4.75 x 30 the midlane reaction is really good and the length maybe a little long. Will change the surface to have it pickup and little sooner. Overall Great ball to compliment, DV8 Frequency.. Great job DV8

Here is the new hi performance ball for DV8, the Verge. This ball offer a brand new simetrical core, treshehold and a brand new solid cover, inciter The ball features the new DOT technologie to optimize the durability and also dynamicore for better carry.

The ball comes out of the box with a 500 2000 slip sanding technique and it allows the ball to be less affected with lane shine. The new core / cover technologie and the surface allows the ball to roll early and be very controllable on the backend.

Because I wanted to have a strong ball to play in heavy oil conditions, I went with a 75 x 3 3/4 x 40 drilling.

On the lane, the ball delivers exactly what I expected. The ball reads the lane really soon and is smooth on the backend. Compared to my Freauency, I play the ball in the same area but the reaction is completely different. Because the Frequency is asymmetrical, I'm able to begin with the verge on the fresh and when it starts to burn up, I can switch to the Frequency and play the same area. Compared to the instigator, I'm 2 boards left on the approach and 1 board left at the target meanly because of the heavy roll in the front part of the lane. We where missing that kind of motion in the line and Dv8 delivered it.

For people with higher ball speed, the surface can be adjusted and you'll be able to use that ball and get advantage of the backend motion.

To conclude, if you want want to have a strong ball with a controllable backend end to play on heavier or flatter lane condition, the Verge is for you.

The Verge is a strong symmetric solid that helps bridge the gap between the Pitbull Bark/Instigator and the Frequency/Night Prolwer. The Verge offers a big round motion that helps smooth out over blocked league patterns or fresh sport patterns. I like that I can keep moving in and get around it as the lanes start to transition and it will continue going through the pins. Keeping the out of box surface on the Verge, I saw strong mid lane read and a smooth, controlled, arc through the pins. On our 45ft house shot, the ball looks great when I kept it in the meat of the pattern longer. One thing I noticed was the stronger finishing process seemed to last longer and not see lane shine as fast. Smoothing the surface out the surface or adding Compound or polish gave the Verge a foot or two more push in the heads while still maintaining the strong arc downlane. This is a ball I gravitate to a lot when the lanes get tricky. Definitely a strong benchmark ball that will have a spot in my league and tournament bag for a while. I can see this ball seeing a lot of use at the USBC Open Championship.

This is a hooking monster. I haven’t had a ball hook this much in a long time. I’ve attempted to roll it on 2 different house patterns at 39 and 41 feet, but the volume was too low for me to reliably trust getting the ball to the pocket. I expect this ball will come out when I am on 44+ foot patterns. This ball may be very similar to a Columbia 300 Baller which was very strong to begin with, but a little lane shine on the ball helped tame it down. That’ll be the expectation with this ball as well. Without a doubt, this ball should be used on heavy volume patterns

Having been with Ebonite for the last 7 years, I haven’t had any experience with other brands, so forgive me as being new to Brunswick, DV8, and Radical I make comparisons to the ball reactions with which I’m familiar. The Verge is a strong symmetric ball with a great color scheme.  Even with my game, this ball has to be started in the oil and sent to the dry.  As long as I catch it all at the bottom, the reaction is fantastic.  The ball picks up strong when it hits the friction and makes a smooth arcing motion into the pins.  The carry was impressive.  Since sending the ball wide is definitely my B game, missed releases were not forgiven. I think higher rev players would see considerable release forgiveness when swinging the Verge into the friction.  On the Leaning Tower of Pisa pattern, which is a pretty tough shot, the reaction of the Verge was exactly what I expected; down and in with a smooth motion into the pins.  For those familiar with the reaction of the original GB3, the Verge is stronger in all phases of ball motion.  This is a versatile ball, and it will have a spot in my bag, especially when I travel.  For more information, check out www.dv8bowling.com.

Drilled my Verge 30x4.75x50 (dot between the top of the fingers) with the intention of having just a really smooth ball to play when there is oil but also a ton of backend.  As a low track player, I typically struggle on fresher patterns with volume in the front part of the lane and am continuously on a quest to find more equipment options to hide my weaknesses.

The Verge revs up quickly and gives me a nice stable arc throughout the lane.  The ball reaction is smooth, does not cover that many boards nor turn over violently on the break point but these soft angles are what I most like about the Verge.  I have had success on a wide variety of pattern lengths as well as both cliffs and flatter shots.  The Verge does struggle on drier lanes and beat up lane surfaces, but this is where you would want to be throwing lower diff balls and/or pearls which will push further down the lane.

Compared to other balls in my bag, I actually had the Verge starting up sooner than my Zing Solid, 3k sanded Prism Hybrid and Closer but a little cleaner than my Tenacity Grit.  The Verge is the strongest symmetric ball in my arsenal and has replaced my Method Solid.  The Verge is a little more continuous at the break point than the Method Solid allowing me to inch in a bit further as the lanes transition.

I recommend the Verge for bowlers who would identify as tweeners or power players looking for a ball that will read the middle of the lane and provide some control at the breakpoint.  This ball will be a favorite on tougher patterns and should be a consideration for your tournament bag.
