The DV8 Intimidator Pearl is a good addition to an arsenal due to it being an easy transition ball from heavy oil. This ball contains a strong asymmetric core and is wrapped with a shiny pearl coverstock. This combination makes this ball a goto when you need an aggressive move with continuation.

COMMENTS:
The Intimidator Pearl was a much needed addition to the DV8 line. This ball bridges the gap nicely between balls like the Intimidator Solid and the Verge line. The Inciter Pearl cover is strong enough to handle heavier volumes, and is one of the quickest response covers ive seen from DV8 in a long time! It was actually so quick I had to hit it lightly with a 2000 pad to slow it down just a tad.

I love the fact the the IP is strong enough to start a series with, and just chase the shot left as it breaks down. I see it being useable on most heavier volume house shots all the way to medium type conditions provided you have decent ball speed.

Overall, this was a very much needed piece in the DV8 lineup. The ability to have that stronger pearl with shape downlane is something we have needed for sometime in my opinion! If your looking for that stronger pearl you can open up the lanes with, the Intimidator Pearl is your choice!

Great ball for length and a sharp angular backend.  This ball is very forgiving and versatile on shots that may be pulled or pushed.  It holds when tugged and still finishes and then a lot of recovery from the outside dry boards.  I was very impressed how well this ball rolls for being a pearl.  Sometimes there is too much skid or too much jump off the dry, this pearl is not like that for me and has great control.

No-thumb, one league per week, tournaments when I can. Tremendous slouch.

Heavier volume step-down asymmetric pearl.

The Intimidator was an excellent heavy oil ball and saw lots of play among our PBA players early and throughout 2020. For a strong ball, the Intimidator was very usable on a variety of patterns and offered great versatility. The Intimidator Pearl will be a great addition to anyone’s bag as it provides an easy transition from a heavy oil ball like the original Intimidator. The Intimidator Pearl shares the same strong asymmetric Assailant core as the Intimidator and paired with the shiny Inciter Max Pearl cover makes a perfect match for an aggressive move and continuation. Adding DynamiCore for extra hitting power and Durability Optimization Technology (DOT) for worry free drilling with your favorite layout, gives you and your Intimidator Pearl a two-year warranty.

The out of box surface is 500/1000 then finished with Crown Factory Compound and paired with the core and cover combination is intended to get easy length with a quick response flip on the back end, and that’s exactly what I get with the Intimidator Pearl (helped by my chosen layout of 65x5x40 which is not as skid/snap as this ball could be). The Intimidator Solid was too much ball for me to use on a regular basis during league, even with a pin down layout for length and control (75x5x80) and the Intimidator Pearl is the perfect step down from your big, solid asymmetric when it’s reading the lane and pattern too early.

With the colors of Purple, White and Ocean on the shiny cover matched up with the Orange lettering this is another DV8 ball that looks just as great on the ball rack as it does when it’s destroying the pocket.

Premium performance and at that price the Intimidator Pearl can skid/snap past other balls in the same tier. If you’re looking for that big skid/snap motion then the DV8 Intimidator Pearl is an easy choice to make.
