Another Cracked Nightmare
« on: May 30, 2013, 10:48:08 PM »
Well a little over a month ago I had made a topic about my Nightmare cracking and me taking the core out of it.  Well now it looks like I get another chance!!!  Went bowling tonight at my local house and I threw the ball maybe two games out of the four I had to bowl.  Well I flop the ball in the bag and I noticed something weird about the coloring on the ball.  I took a second look and the damn thing was cracked all over!!!!!!!!!!  I cant believe that this is the second DV8 Nightmare to pretty much fall apart on me in the last 4-6 weeks.

I'll post pictures tomorrow.  It's just unreal how brittle this coverstock is on this ball.

P.S.  A few years back I had this same issue with a couple of the Brunswick C-Systems (3.5 and 4.5).

Do you leave your stuff in the car all day or out in the garage by chance? I've seen a lot of people that do have this issue, I've also had this issues with a ball that never left my office years ago lol.

I only had this issue when using finger inserts. Since losing the inserts and only using a thumb insert no cracked bowling balls. In many cases I blame the glue. That is my theory.

Still sucks to hear.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

I've drilled 3 of the nightmare and 3 of the brutal. Not even a cracked bridge and I have put them thru hell. Weird

I second to what Dean said.  Balls have been thru hell and just keep getting better.  No cracks.
