brutal nightmare drilling
« on: April 12, 2013, 01:07:44 PM »
I am getting a brutal nightmare and need some advise.   my ball speed is 15 -16 mph.low revs. Maybe 200- 250 rpms.  i have a nightmare pin up above ring finger and want to know how to drill brutal. And how much difference there will be between the two. Which one will hook more? I have just started bowling after 10 year layoff and nobody in my league throws dv8. Ive raised my ave 10 pins a week. Ty

Hello!  The Brutal will be much longer and flippier that the Nightmare.  If you drilled the Brutal the same way, you're looking at about 4-5 boards more overall hook definitely a bit more length.  The Nightmare would be the ball to start with and when it starts burning up and hitting flat, move left and throw the Brutal to the dry and watch the pins fly!!  If you are looking to compliment the Nightmare and you like the reaction of that layout, drill it the same way.

Ty jason. I was kinda thinking the same thing.  another question is everybody used to drill weigjt holes and now its not done much. Would a weight hole make ball hook more.

A weight hole is used to change reaction of the ball if needed. You can have your pro shop operator drill it with the intent of adding a weight hole to adjust the reaction. If you need more or less reaction, they can put the weight hole in a different position to get the desired reaction.  So, Yes a weight hold can make a ball hook more after the initial drilling.
