drilled 4x4x1 very long and strong and not very forgiving. Put it away after first game for my Aura (4x4x2) more control. Not ready to give up on it yet just need to have more time to see when to use it, But what I have see so far I don't see it replacing my Aura as the first ball out of bag.

Drilled mine yesterday.  60x5x70. Bowling in a tourney in a couple hours.  Will report how she rolls a bit later on.

Got mine Thursday and used it for the first time in my league last night. It's definitely got the "wow" factor with the way it looks. The ball hooks. A lot. I was expecting to have to put it away after the first game, but I was able to throw it all night. Typically once the lanes break down and I get deeper my carry struggles, but not with this thing. The further left I moved with it the harder it cornered and my carry didn't suffer all night. Hit and carry we're awesome throughout the night. I'm very happy with it so far.

Ok looks like the jury's out still only three reviews so far....OK looks like its going to be game one ball than go to versa-max for me but that's all speculation on my part so far...what I've been reading on this site and others...really like to hear from a down and in player on fresh ths....that's what i plan on using this ball for....from a couple comparison vids where they compare the nightmare to the brutal...in my eyes the nightmare has a snappier backend.....even though i can tell the brutal is stronger over all ball between them both....

I drilled mine 40x5x37 (I thought 77 total angle would be lucky) with a P1 hole. For me, the surface was a little strong for what I was on, so I hit it with high gloss factory polish. It became a whole new ball, much better match up for me. It is now a ball I can relax and go left to right without trying to force it, or play a little more direct from outside like a Too Reckless.

If I were to drill another, I would go with a 50x4.5x65 and always stay aggressive. For the more skid/flip type balls, I do better when I can trick the ball into reading the lane earlier without responding to friction as fast.

Saw a local female staffer throw it, and honestly, it threw up all over the lane. Keep in mind, it was on guardian, which is very tight to start and her revrate is barely pushing 200 RPMS and thats being generous. Id like to think poor matchup that particular night.

Just got home from a 5 game qualifer on HPL. Pattern was a modified Paris pattern at 44ft I believe.. Used the Brutal all 5 games and went +127.  Very impressed with the downlane reaction on this ball.  Nothing else I have touches this reaction.  The Nightmare was at least 6 boards weaker and much much smoother and earlier of a read.  I drilled this ball yesterday, never threw it until this mornings block.  It still had the lines on it lol.  Came out the gate 260.  Its just a predictable monster.  By far one of the most exciting balls I ever thrown. Ill be testing it on a house shot in the next few days...  Only negative of today was I didnt get to try my Misfit Pearl..

It is a great compliment to the nightmare. I like the brutal for when the heads burn up a little and the lanes start to transition. I like the diva to start and then I move into the puddle and free wheel when moving left with the diva gives me that 4 pin 10 pin look.

How would the Brutal Nightmare compare to the HellRaiser Revenge, all things being equal?
