Their bottles say almost the exact same thing, but "Hook" is not approved for use during bowling. ("Hook" seems to smell like Hook-It and has the same pink tinge.)
Has anyone seen or know the difference between them?

I heard that they are essentially repackaged "Hook-it" and "Liquid Nitro"

That would make sense based on What I saw and smelled of Damn Good Hook. It also cleaned like Hook-It.

Any other thoughts from DV8 users.

I just got the answer from "the horse's mouth":
Damn good hook is very similar to Hook-it, and why it can't be used during competition. It does have a light amount of abrasive material in it to put a little surface back on the ball.
Thanks for your inquiry!
