Considering giving DV8 a try.  What are these two balls like and what conditions have you had success on?

I like the Diva if it's your first one.  A stronger symmetrical which will be more applicable to a variety of patterns.  The Dude, is a super clean and smooth ball reaction.  I haven't found a whole lot of success early on in a set with the Dude.  For me, it has needed some friction for optimal reaction.  I've heard of others putting surface on Dudes to get more midlane, but I personally believe it really kills the best part of the of the ball reaction on medium to lighter oil.  Which is why I would start with something like the original Diva which will give you a good overall reaction.

The Diva and the Dude would be a good 2 balls to start with in the DV8 line. The Diva has a strong midlane read and the Dude is a little smoother rolling. I have the Diva as a pin under the ring finger, and the Dude as a pin above the ring finger. I usually start with the Diva to give me that heavy midlane roll. When it starts hooking too much, I switch to the Dude to give me a little more length and smoother reaction on the back. I have kept both balls at box surface and haven't considered changing them yet.
