Misfit Vs. Outcast
« on: April 01, 2015, 10:25:51 PM »
Getting a ball this weekend and I'm definitely settling on DV8. I need something as a step down from my Mastermind and Cold Blood.

Looking at the stats, they are near exactly the same. Any experiences with either? One better than the other?

I do not know if it is discontinued, but the Misfit Pearl is pretty much all I ever throw anymore during my leagues and tournaments. THS of course

I love using my orange/blue Misfit when the lanes are burned up or in the later games of tournaments. It hits hard for an entry level ball and I highly recommend it. I will add that it is big step down from what you're currently throwing and agree that something in the Dude line would be a good choice.

Misfit/outcast are the same thing. Misfits are in fact discontinued. They are in fact VERY weak compared to what you are throwing. I Would consider throwing a Diva/Dude or a Hooligan instead of a misfit/outcast.

One of the reasons I've considered the Misfit/Outcast is because of the price and how many people said they were stronger than advertised.

I'll keep looking but I'm definitely sticking with DV8.

Im a DV8 staffer. And I think those pieces are very very weak compared to some of the other pieces. The hooligan is probably 3-5 more than a outcast and prob only cost you an extra 15 bucks.

+1. Dude has been killing my THS lately. If you are rev limited and/or high speed player, think more of the diva line which should be a bit stronger than the original Dude.

I'll definitely look toward the Diva. I think my local proshop has a few left. Don't think we have any more Dudes left.

Just to update, I ended up getting the Ruckus from Buddies Pro Shop. There were no Divas or Dudes at ours. Plus, it was on close out ($75 is a steal).
