DV8 Dark Side   @15lbs 2.480 .036   Dynamicore/DOT
WWRD 03/20/2025   (12-16lbs)   Alternate Core 12-13lbs   Volume-Medium
Core- Duality (NEW)      Coverstock- Inciter Hybrid (NEW?)
DV8 has been designing cores for no thumb players; but they are so good traditional bowlers can use them, too.  When new bowlers try the no thumb style, we at FTF see they gravitate to the stronger covers and bigger cores, plus drill them “maxed out”.  More time than not, they are rev dominant and are not bowling on environments that will maintain axis rotation. The balls roll forward too soon and scoring is affected. Some elite bowlers have been asking for a lower diff and more “control” ball for medium or lesser volumes of higher friction lanes. This is where the new Duality core comes in with the Inciter Hybrid (we couldn’t find this formulation without HK22) to create a low flaring but cleaner ball motion option. The DV8 website as well as the QR code on the boxes, will take you to all the information on how to drill these cores to create different motions. What is new is the after drilling numbers of each core at 15lbs. There can be a big spike in the numbers post drilled. Remember to adjust for your PAP. This is an important component to drill this type of ball or any ball, in fact. DV8 offers alternate cores for bowlers who use lighter weights but the same performance goals are still there. Great price point, as well!
