Pitbull looks like another snow tire. Strange with the Grudge coming out just a year ago, but they have gone through the solid-hybrid-pearl phase with that line. With the Radical Cash coming out at the same time that makes for an interesting conflict of interest for Brunswick.

I bet the Vandal Destroy will be the best ball in that line. Lots of people loved the original, but if this hybrid does what it's supposed to... grand slam home run.

Surprised another Diva ball is coming out. Especially a Pearl, that makes three I believe. Thought they were done after the XOXO.

Boring core design I think you could sell a ton of balls, with some effort.  Idk wrap the core with a spike collar or something! But I don't design cool stuff like that.

Instead, we just throw a paint bucket shape in there and make it look like a storm ball, done. Next!
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

my thoughts exactly...i just don't get the justification here to drop premium money down for something that looks like 20 other balls released in the last few years

You are buying new colors and names not new technology or coverstocks. That goes for any brand. The Fix just came out with it's alleged magic core and now we have the Cash in the same price point/performance category......and  it hooks even more then anything....ever in the history of forever.

Every new ball hooks more...yet they have not had to widen the lanes for all of this new hooking technology. Could be something to that.  Be picky, there is always more of the same coming from everyone.

the amount of new equipment every 3-6 months is just ridiculous. someone truly needs to step in and say enough is enough. all these new balls, in almost every company, are recycled "technology" packaged as the latest and greatest. i have been tired of this nonsense for years and it just keeps getting more and more insane.

If everyone stopped buying every new release this would stop.  I would like to see really popular balls continue to be made like Storm has done with the IQ Tour Solid.  Another idea is a loyalty/rewards program so we get something back for buying all theses new releases.

I think people have stopped buying "every" new release. Which is why we are seeing more releases. If the last didn't sell, take it off the shelf and let's see if this new color sells. I miss the days of 5-6 releases a year. Now 10 seems to be the norm.

i totally agree with tkk.
i find myself arguing with customers who want damn near every new ball, when they ask how is this better than the one i just bought, i tell them flat out its junk new colors and bulls*t marketing to make it all look like you need this right here and now.

"Better" is a relative term. Not every ball out there is "better" than the last one, but it will be for some.

The average recreational bowler is woefully uneducated as far as the marketplace. Many show up for league, see their buddy has "the latest, greatest ball to ever roll down the lane", and convince themselves they need one too.  Not knowing any better, they visit websites, read all the BS hype and marketing, and buy into it without analyzing it.

Ball companies dont care about bowling, nor do they care about bowlers. ALL they care about is selling as many of their products as they can, by any means they can. If making stuff up and hyping things to make them sound great so be it.

In truth, most marketing claims these days are exaggerations, if not flat out lies.

Learn to laugh, and love, and smile, cause we’re only here for a little while.

Sounds like a smart business plan.  Customer "I want to buy a new bowling ball"  You "No I won't sell it to you it's junk"

While I agree there's way too much stuff out there these days, if someone wants to spend their money on the latest and greatest, I'm not turning down the business.

we only operate on a very part time basis at this point since the center changed hours so the little cash flow we pull in is next to nothing. my brother and i would rather be dead honest then feel we ripped someone off selling them more and more junk they don't need, just feel they do based on the ridiculous bs marketing of these companies.

I don't understand why everyone is getting so upset about what other people do with THEIR money.  I have not read one single piece of constructive criticism in this thread.

I am lucky because my local pro shop will actually stock demos of each new product, which gives me the opportunity to try it out and see if it is worth the hype at no charge.  And I have found some of the new equipment IS worth buying.  For example both the Absolute Nirvana and the Quantum Forest Green have suited me very well.  I have won tournaments with each!

I for one am looking forward to trying out each of these new balls as soon as my local pro shop has them available.  If I find that they DO perform as advertised, I WILL purchase them.  And I will hope to keep winning tournaments with them.
