Title: DV8 problem
Post by: Mylenation on January 20, 2016, 08:14:05 PM
I have a Dv8 and its not reacting like I would like it to , but I haven't bowled with it as much as I would like to. I was thinking about having it touched up with a 3000 abalone pad , I wanted to know what you all think about doing this??

Adjusting surfaces to better match conditions is always good idea.

But other than that you've given no information to base a better opinion on.

Information like:

Which DV8 is it?

What conditions are you using it on?

How is it not reacting in the way you want?

Is it hooking too early/much or too late/little?

Also "abalone" is a sea snail, you mean a Abralon pad.

you need to give all the information if you want good help.  We need to know the ball, what surface it is at currently and what type of lane surface/condition.

I agree with the others. Sure, surface changes are always a good place to start if you don't like the reaction you're getting. Still, without knowing what ball you've got, what you're throwing it on (general idea), what it's doing/not doing, and your style, it's really hard to give you any decent advice. Fill us in a bit, and we'll be more than happy to offers suggestions. There is no shortage of opinions around here! lol
