Hellraiser success
« on: September 25, 2011, 10:06:54 PM »
Bowled a tournament this weekend. It was a youth tourney, so scholarship money only. 45 ft Long Jr. Gold pattern from what I was told. I just know that it was long and very oily. Started with my gamebreaker (pin down) at 500 the first 2 1/2 games. grinded out to be -50. Made a switch to the hellraiser game 2 1/2 to make a 160 into a 190. Then used the hellraiser the last 3 games of qualifying to get to +20 and make cut. Then used it to move into 1st place in the 1st games of matchplay. Then the wheels fell off a little bit with my spare shooting and dropped back down to 4th in the following 2 games and then made a move going over 6/7th arrow with the hellraiser and ended up finishing 3rd.

Ball was just stupid good all day. I could play a part of the lane a lot of people were not able to get the ball back from and actually carry. I have bowled 10 games with the hellraiser now and I have only left 2 ten pins. I just dont get it. I hope this reaction lasts for a LONG LONG time. Every time there is a 10 standing, the head pin comes and takes it out. It is crazy. I definitely turned some heads because a lot of the kids were like ooooo DV8, that stuff isnt that good. Well, when I was striking and they were watching from the back, they werent saying much.

GREAT PRODUCT! definitely drilling another pin up and adding a little polish.

Sounds great, Ryan. With only 2 ten pins in 10 games that should be some sort of unofficial record!

haha, that's what I think too. I was telling the guys/my friends I was bowling with I hadn't left a 10 pin since I started throwing the ball and then game 9 I left a weak 10 (playing 5th/6th arrow). And they just started laughing at me and cracking jokes about getting a new one and what not. It has been a great ball so far. Looking for more success to come!
