I know it makes no difference because the ball is what it is, but just out of sheer curiosity are the Outcasts solids, pearls or hybrids?

This new color seems a slight departure from DV8's usual color schemes; it's kind of staid and Brunswick-like (not a criticism). I just bought the Mango for myself. Might have gotten this Bruiser if it were available then.  :)

They are all solids. This blue pops, its pretty vibrant in person.

Am I correct in assuming this is a "tweaked" version of Activator coverstock? Also, I think it looks like a C-System 4.5 myself, either way, I ordered a Bruiser Blue one.

No, DV8 uses a new base coverstock for all of the DV8 balls. The Outcast is good for lighter oil or a broken down shot because of the "weaker" coverstock formulation.
