DV8 Vandal Destroy review
« on: January 28, 2017, 03:08:50 AM »
Layout::::   45 X 5 X 30
Box Surface  Box
Rev Rate ::: 300 - 325
Ball speed:::: 15.5 - 16 mph
Condition:::::40 ft.  House shot

   The Vandal Destroy is a WOW ball.   I love my original Vandal but the Vandal Destroy  I love just as much.   What I was looking for in this ball and layout was to have this ball get down lane and not pick up early and still have that strong motion off the breakpoint.
   The Vandal Destroy showed me what this ball can do.  The Hybrid cover makes  the Vandal Destroy stronger on the back  compared to my Original Vandal which is a smoother rolling ball with the layout I have on it.  When the lane starts to hook later in the set I can make a 4 and 2 move and still enjoy the strong reaction and striking power the Vandal Destroy ball delivers.  The Vandal destroy is a must in anyone's arsenal.  I highly recommend this ball.

This ball produced a stronger backend motion than most hybrids. It gets through the heads easier than the original Vandal and Vandal and Vandal Smash. On a light house pattern it has more hook and better continuation through the pins compared to the original Vandal The Vandal Destroy will help lower rev players who need drive when the heads dry up

I saw a completely different reaction out of mine.  drilled mine pin down and ball clears heads, but is very smooth on the backend.  It really blends out the over/under for me with the pin down layout.

I had my proshop drill this ball up for me before a tournament and all I can say is WOW this ball is amazing. I started on the fresh with Vandal Smash, once the lane broke down I changed to the Vandal Destroy and was able to complete game 2 and 3 on this during tournament play. This ball floats on the lane, and comes back with a hard force. This ball completes the Vandal line perfectly, and this will be my bench mark ball.

Update 2-7-17:
I used this ball the following monday at league, I shot a 236,235,205. This ball did not quit, and I could have shot even higher if it wasnt for my mechanical issues. I was able to use this ball all night and only had to move 5 boards. My teammates were having issues with the lanes being different, I was able to pretty much play the same line the entire night.

DV8 Vandal Destroy
45x4x30

I decided to drill my Vandal Destroy stronger than my original Vandal and Vandal Smash. I really liked the benchmark shape look of the original Vandal and had a lot of success with the stronger Smash. I wanted the new Destroy to rev up a little quicker and allow it to be bigger on the back end. I was very pleased to see the Composite Hook Hybrid cover on this one too, seeing as the Grudge Hybrid is one of my favorites. What I saw out of the Destroy was good length with more midlane and backend than the original Vandal. This ball made a much bigger motion down lane than expected. When I tried this ball on lighter volume pattern, it was just too much. It revved up too quick and was just too much ball for this pattern and worn lane surface. I see this ball being right at home on Medium to medium-heavy patterns.

The Vandal Destroy is just another great ball in the Vandal line. I have been a big fan of the Vandals ever since the first one. This ball has great length through the front part of the lane with a great backend flip that carries through the pins. This ball is a great fit for those medium oil lane conditions.
