First Try With Hellraiser Revenge
« on: February 03, 2012, 07:22:44 AM »
I took it to league Wednesday night to try in league. There were high school bowlers on our pairs beforehand so I throw the ball and it won't hook more than 3 boards. I go great another big hooking ball that won't turn for me. I figured not enough oil so I tried it at another house with fresh oil and the ball reacted fine. I drilled it with the pin about 2 inches above my ring finger to get it down the lane and it does just as expected. Gets down the lane and finishes strong. The more I loft it the harder it turns on the end. It definately needs head oil to work but if there is oil it reads great. I think I could even add a touch of surface to get it to read  a little earlier and move in a little more with it.

I kept mine at 2000 and added rough buff polish to it. It gets through the heads a little cleaner and makes a stronger move on the back. It was too much ball oob for me. It hits great.

Louis,  I was curious to know if you think the DV8 stuff has a distinctive sound when it hits the pins or is it just me.  From the first time i threw the reckless in my home center and it hit the pins it just sounded different to me.  I think these ball hit harder than anything i have seen.  I am getting older so maybe it is just my hearing.  lol

I think it is the backend motion, ball is going left hard when it hits the pins. I wouldn't doubt it being louder. I can't believe how many times I thought I would leave a weak ten only to have the six snap it out or a headpin come flying across the deck.
