Hell Raiser Revenge - Preferred Layouts??
« on: September 04, 2012, 05:53:07 PM »
I've got a new Hell Raiser Revenge coming, and I'm looking to use it as first out of the bag on medium-heavy synthetics at a local Brunswick house that plays kind of slick when fresh.  I'm looking for any suggested layouts that match up well with the general characteristics of the ball.  I'm a tweener, but lean more towards the stroker side unless conditions warrant otherwise, about 14 mph at the pins, and low tilt / high rotation.  What works well with this ball?

i have a HRR: 70* x 3 1/2" x 30* and really like it!! i have low tilt and speed is a little more than yours. you could always go with a 3" pin, so it helps retain tilt a little more, which will help the reaction down lane. just a suggestion. im looking into a HR Terror as well. probably 75* x 3" x 30. something to get inside with, when HRR is too much. good luck!!

It has a very strong cover, so going with a 3 1/2 inch pin sounds very scary.  I would reccommend something along the lines of 70 x 4.5 x 50, that ball will be very strong with that layout, can't imagine why people use anything less than a 4 inch pin, ickk!
