but someone (unverified hearsay) told me that these coverstocks are all new. Bayer is still the supplier, AFAIK, but none of these were used before, I was lead to believ.

These are entirely new coverstocks developed to have unmatched performance using bright neon colors with UV additives. There's a reason you typically see darker and mellow colors in bowling balls, especially any PowrKoil based balls.

From the pictures, I thought the Magenta/Yellow would be less eye-assaulting than the Orange/Blue. I was wrong. I am now "blinded by the light"!!!
 

 

Threw this ball sunday afternoon on a fresh house shot, wow a little stronger then I had anticipated based upon price, great length small mid lane move and big backend reaction, was surprised at the length and ease at which it made the corner  I went with a simple pin over bridge cg out 25 degrees, 3.5" pin, have not weighed the ball up for legality reasons yet, but think its probably a touch over on side weight, so will weigh it tonight and see if i got room for a x hole in it to help increase the length a tick more and lose that small mid lane read on it  love the colors, yellow and magenta with black grips and a slug, ball stands out both on the rack and on the lanes def a late mover based on its Brunswick brothers

Simple explanation since I'm not an engineer, neon colors typically make them less porous. Our guys found a way to create outrageous color combos and keep peak performance.

team mate picked up a reckless and it looks and performs as advertised. to be honest I didnt know what he bought at first but was impressed by the ball. my self,I'm eyeing the H/R and the early reviews sound good. I can't help to think that some of the C-sys tech has something to do with these cover's,shot in the dark on my part though.
