Need some help getting some more length with my wife's Diva Divine.  We just started bowling at a different house, and they don't use as much oil as the other place did.  Her pin-up ball, with her slow ball speed (10 mph at the pins), now starts to roll out too soon midlane playing her usual basic down & in shot near the track.  She is not comfortable or good moving in very much, so her ball typically rolls out and goes high, or brooklyn, and is basically DOA.

Box surface is 500-4000 dull.  I've got a spinner and assorted pads and polishes to use, so what kind of surface change would you recommend to make this ball more user friendly for her?

another option instead of polish or in addition too. Is to include the intermediate steps between 500-4000 because full grit progression will yield smoother overall reaction and higher grit finishes will tend to push further down the lane.

Example: 500-1000-2000-4000 results in a smoother surface.

Thanks for the responses. I'll try progressing thru the grits first to see if that helps her.  I never seem to have much luck when applying polishes.  Always seems to kill ball reactions too much, so maybe I'm doing something wrong, like using too much polish or polishing to hard or underlying grit is wrong or something.
