I am looking for a ball that can give me a stronger entry angle and recovery from inside than my Marauder. I love my Marauder it is a great bench mark ball, I also have a Lucid that handles more oil , so I am looking for a in between ball with a big backend. How much better is the Terror when compared to the Brutal Nightmare.

My impressions in another thread:
I just recently drilled my first DV8 ball (coincidentally a Terror) having used Brunswick, AMF and 900Global for the last 5 years. My PAP is 5 across by 3/8 up, speed 17mph at 275rpm. We are currently using Kegel Boardwalk for the singles league I bowl in. The Terror is drilled 70 x 3 x 40 with a hole next to the MB. cover left in box condition. I am a 53 year old lefty.
On that pattern the Terror gives me easy length but the strongest backend motion I have encountered in a ball, bar none! My only carry issue was a couple of 4 pins (!!!!) from half pocket. Now, at my rev rate, that should never happen, but it has the strongest backend motion of any ball I have ever thrown.
I have not seen a pearl with this kind of entry angle. Haven't seen many Brutals, but it would have to be insane to give a heavier entry angle. Highly recommended.

My son has loved his. Great pearl for him. It's usually the first one out of his bag.

Yes, the Hell Raiser Terror would be able to handle more oil than the Marauder and give you more hook down lane. My terror is about 4 boards more hook downlane with better recovery off the dry compared to the Marauder. Comparing it to the Brutal Nightmare, the Terror is about 3 boards weaker down lane with a smoother transition when reaching the friction. The Brutal Nightmare has a stronger core and coverstock than the Terror. The Brutal Nightmare handles heavier oil and will hook more in the back part of the lane because of the coverstock. I would suggest the Terror for what you are looking for in your arsenal.

The terror also has a lower rg than the brutal so it will rev up a little easier. I get much more overall hook and contination with the brutal. It will handle higher volume of oil as well. Both great balls but I have found the brutal to be more usable over a wider varierty of patterns.
