HR Revenge VS Defiant
« on: February 05, 2012, 07:15:23 AM »
This will be posted in this and the Roto forum to get some different opinions. Given identical drills, how do these compare? It seems like the Revenge is longer and more angular. Thanks.

You are absolutely right. The Revenge is going to give you much more length and have a stronger move off of the spot. I am not a big fan of high end solid equipment but the Revenge is nothing like I have thrown. It is vet aggressive but with how easy it goes through the heads and the move on the backed it allows me to use the ball longer than j can with any other high end solid. From what I have seen in the local area. The revenge is by far one of the strongest if not the strongest ball on the market.

I would say the Revenge compares in reaction shape to the Critical Theroy. I own a Critical and Defiant and the Critical is longer and more angular. The Hell Raiser Revenge I saw being thrown was very impressive off the spot for a solid. Defiant if you want hard strong arc and Revenge or Critical Theory if you want non stop back end.

Can't go wrong really, comes down to picking your favorite.

I totally agree with JMiller.  I am a high rev player and I normally struggle greatly with solid, high end equipment.  The Revenge is the first solid high end ball I have thrown in awhile and I LOVE it.  It gets through the heads much cleaner than any other solid high end ball I have thrown.  The one place I see mine differ from others is mine makes a strong arcing reaction on the backend.  I wouldn't call it angular by any means.  It is very strong however, and never quits when rolling through the pins.

Gotta say I agree with Jim and Bryan.  I've had issues as well in past with not liking higher end assymetrical balls. They just burnt up too quick and lost energy. It's just not the case with this ball.  It gets through the front and then just flat out hooks and doesn't stop.  I did one the same drilling as my original HR (65x4.25x35 - pin up) and it was slightly stronger. Then I did one 35x4.5x55 (pin down) and just couldn't believe my eyes. A lot of hook and didn't stop.  I have some video but didn't get a chance to edit yet.  keep an eye out for it.
