Now if they would only make a weak solid ball, then I would be even happier 8)
all my gear is now DV8. The DV8 gear fits me perfectly, however, they do need IMHO a plastic ball that's not stoopid looking, sorry folks!
And they need a weak solid/pearl with something like a rating of 130ish (bowlingball.com stuff) and my life would be complete...DV8 you complete me, (sniff, sniff)

it's always nice when you can find "your" company. my buddy is with rotogrip, the stuff just works off his hand (averaging nearly 230 with his Defiant Edge this year). Me, i'm still looking. I'm liking the way my C-System 2.5 and Versa Max are working so far this year, but not quite sold on solely Brunswick. Gonna probably try another rotogrip before i might consider a single company.

You do know that the Misfits are solids, right?
They're rated at 110 overall hook. If you took some of the gloss shine off them or even put a 1500 grit + light polish on them, I"m sure the hook rating would get close to a 130 rating.

The misfit is a lot stronger then expected. Id say very under rated.

@charlest, thanks for the heads-up, yes, I do know that the Misfits are solids and over at bowlingball.com they are rated at 182 'overall hook', and wow! the Misfits are a very strong solid for their price, in fact a lot of people at where I bowl are loving the Misfits.

I had thought you meant the Brunswick rating. :D
I tried one when they came out and probably drilled it too weak. I got an inconsistent reaction and sold it, after I tried several different surfaces. Had too many other balls to try a 2nd one. Have a Too Reckless that I have not yet had a chance to drill yet.

I'm trying out a marauder madness currently. Too much ball for my 2nd shift league, finally get to see some fresh oil with it tomorrow so we will see how it does. I usually throw storm/roto as a preference.

I ordered that same ball from the boys at "K&K Bowling" in Las Vegas at the Orleans the week before the Thanksgiving weekend, I love that ball.
Anyway, their shop had my PAP from a couple of years ago when I went there for our leagues sweepers so I ordered it on Tuesday and said that I would be there on Friday so it was ready on Thursday so on Saturday I threw in sweepers for the games 1 and 2 and had 507 turning.
I generally do not like a ball at 4K dull (OOB) but the marauder madness is amazing at that grit. Well, since I'm bragging about my DV8 gear, just today I was in the local no-tap tourny (don't laugh I NEVER bowl those) but it was a fund raiser for cancer victims.
But anyway, I threw my Hellraiser-Revenge fro all 3 games and rolled really well, I went 300 - 264 - 300, I love my DV8 gear!!

i wanna try a DV8 or two, i wanna try the Defiant Edge, Soul, and Critical Theory, the Brunswick Aura and Meanstreak, Several MOTIV balls, Columbia freeze hybrid looks interesting, several 900G's....... Guess i need to figure out how to get my game good enough to be sponsored by someone, be patient and pick which ever ball fits the "missing hole" when it's time for a new ball, or just win the lottery and try them all.

Finally got to throw my marauder madness on fresh oil and this ball performed great! Shot 249-208-256 for 713. Front 8 last game then went ahead and missed 2 tenpins lol. Took 2nd in the singles tourney, got beat out by 14 pins ugh. Marauder madness gets a thumbs up from me on fresh THS!
